Walter Herman Bell, professor emeritus, served at ODU from 1957-1970 as Counselor, Director, and Professor of Counseling and as Professor of French. He was born in Berryville, Virginia on July 9, 1900. In the interview, Bell discusses his past positions as professor at Hampden-Sydney, as Red Cross Field Director during WWII, and as Director of Guidance in Portsmouth School System in addition to his experiences at ODU in the Counseling Office. Interview recorded on two cassette tapes, three sides. Audio quality is good.
