Description:
Because funds did not permit the Center for Performimg Arts to be humidity controlled, a unique solution was devised to maintain the proper humidity levels for the facility's 34 pianos. Each of the instruments contains a portable humidifier, which keeps the wood and strings from drying out. Scott Richardson, a student worker in the music department, checks the humidity levels and adds water when needed.
