Description:
David R. Basco, director of Old Dominion's Coastal Engineering Institute, demonstrates the operation of a wave tank to a group of military education specialists who visited campus recently for a half-day orientation session. The group, representing all military services, provides on-base education counseling to active-duty personnel and their dependents, plus the area's large retired military population. The visitors also toured the Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center, an electronic classroom in the Education Building and Webb Center. President James V. Koch spoke to the group and reaffirmed Old Dominion's commitment to working with the military community.
