Students got a chance to see demonstrations and participate in contests. P.M. Eighteen companies and eight professional associations were in Kaufman-Duckworth Hall, October 21, 1993 for Engineering Professional Career Day. Sponsored by the College of Engineering and Technology, the annual event exposes students and alumni to potential employers. Representatives of B&W Nuclear Technologies of Lynchburg talk to students in the atrium area. Other firms represented included Virginia Power, Siemens Automotive, Newport News Shipbuilding, and Union Camp Corporation. Jim Broderick of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce was a guest speaker at a dinner that night in Webb Center.
