A big crowd was on hand for the summer commencement held August 11th at the Fieldhouse. More than 1,000 students received their degrees this summer. At right, Sonya Seward looks for her name in the commencement program before the ceremony begins. Seward, who received her master's degree in community health education, began work in March as an industrial hygienist with Norfolk Naval Shipyard. She previously worked for two years in ODU's environmental health and safety office.
