Activities and Personalities, Spring semester 1959. In Art Education 305 - Instructor, Mr. Charles Sibley, head of the Art Dept. of the College of W&M, Norfolk - students work on paper mache rocket constructed as one of the class projects. Muriel Porter, Kathleen Foley, Becky Flowers, four unidentified students, Carol Ketchin, (first name unknown) Chestnut.

In Art Education class David L. Hughes (on left) and Bill McLeod, students from Larchmont Elementary School build a launching pad for the paper mache rocket being constructed by the class.

Ben, played by John Halvorsen, director of music at Epworth Methodist Church in Norfolk, gives Lucy, Hope Stockton, a piece of modernistic sculpture in the first scene of the opera "Telephone." The two are members of the Opera Workshop.

Mr. Charles Sibley's Art Education class works on a paper mache rocket. Here students from Larchmont Elementary School and student-teachers sketch designs for rocket.
