Students who did not want to miss out on the biggest basketball of the season - the Monarchs vs. the UNC Tarheels, congregated outside the Fieldhouse to wait for their free tickets from the Athletic Ticket Office. Although the doors didn't open until the morning of January 30th, many students began their vigil as early as 10:00 PM the night before. Three thousand student tickets were distributed and students purchased an additional four hundred guest tickets. Approximately six hundred tickets were put into lotteries for faculty, staff and alumni. People whose names were drawn given an opportunity to purchase tickets to the game. The game will be played February 14th at Norfolk Scope.
