Lewis Johnson lived in Albemarle County during the years of desegregation of Virginia’s schools. He attended Rose Hill Elementary in Charlottesville (1960-63) and Stone Robinson Elementary in Shadwell (1963-67), Burley Middle School (1968) and Jack Jouett Middle School in Charlottesville (1969-70), and he graduated from Albemarle High School in 1973.
