During the week of October 3-7, 1955 Mr. Neal Thomas, interior decorator and instructor of evening college course in interior decoration, presented and exhibit of Miss Greta Matson's paintings in the trophy room of the college. On the left is Miss Virginia Speer of the Biology Department. On the right is Miss Greta Matson, artist.

Mr. Charles Sibley, head of the College Art Department, presenting a plaque to Mrs. Virginia Knowles honoring her son, Charles Knowles, in whose memory the Washington hand press was presented to the College Art Department by the Southern Engraving Company. The plaque will be attached to the press which will be used by the Art Department for fine art work.

Mr. Charles Sibley, head of the Art Department, instructs one of his classes. The Norfolk Division reopened its Art Department this year. This department was discontinued a few years ago due to lack of space.
