World War II History came alive in course taught by President James V. Koch. With the help of F. Richard Whalen, Old Dominion's director of military activities, guest lecturers included two survivors of the attack on Pearl Harbor and a former German battleship sailor. Pictured is retired Rear Admiral Eugene Fluckey who shared some of his stories as a submarine commander in the Pacific to the class. Fluckey won the Medal of Honor and four Navy Crosses for heroism as commander of the Navy's most successful submarine of World War II.
