On back of photo: Gary Grubb of Hampton, the first recipient of the Clifford L. and Lillian R. Adams Physics Scholarship, talks with the Adams' during a luncheon on campus. Clifford Adams, a retired professor and founding chairman of the university's physics department, established a $1,250 scholarship which will be awarded annually to an outstanding physics major. Grubb, a senior, is president of the Student Physics Society.
