An accident on Hampton Boulevard in which a truck rig backed in to a electric pole, caused some power outages across campus, including the Old Dominion University Computer Center. Of note, the 4400 Campus Club in the far right of the picture was a popular campus hangout for students from during the 1960s-1990s.

The Computer Center was knocked out of operation Monday when this tractor-trailer cab collided off a parked car and into a telephone pole at 44th and Hampton Boulevard, leaving the truck driver uninjured but the pole resting in the middle of the street. The computer was restored to operation in about thirty minutes.
