Donald W. McGee, instructor in the Automotive Department of the Technical Institute, works on a 1950 sedan. McGee received a scholarship from the Norfolk Motor Company for study in the summer of 1957 at the General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan.

Car number 13-A, a modified stock car, was built, raced, and maintained by students in the Automotive School at the Norfolk Division of the College of William and Mary -- V. P. I..
