Footage from the opening of the new Woolco department store at Little Creek East Shopping Center. Featured in the footage is Lester F. Davis, vice-president of F. W. Woolworth and general manager of Woolco and WTAR television personality Mildred Alexander is seen on one of the salesfloor televisions. Woolco was the department store branch of the five-and-dime Woolworth stores. Woolco struggled to gain a foothold in the competitive retail world and closed nationwide in 1983. Footage has no sound.
