University officials and a representative from AT&T are left holding the scissors following a ribbon cutting on September 2 to officially open the AT&T Room in the Education Building, where free Internet training for K-12 teachers is being provided. The Learning Network Academy, the first program of its kind in Virginia, will offer the courses every Saturday for the next year. AT&T donated twenty computers, a Web browser and content-access software for the room, and is providing free, unlimited Internet access. Old Dominion instructors are teaching the classes.
