Mr. Parker Lesley (left) is wearing, with his academic robe-the Honor Medal in silver for Art and Science of the House-order of Orange Nassau, awarded by her late majesty, Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands, for personal services to the crown. The order was founded on her coronation in 1948. The medal has her likeness on the front. The arms, motto, of the royal house , "I Shall Uphold," and the inscription "For Art and Science" in Dutch appear on the reverse side.
